Wednesday - We all arrived safe and sound today, tomorrow we will welcome Tallan and the
band and our friends from Maple Road! After some BBQ at The Pig on Beale, we walked Beale and checked out the club Sue
and the guys will be playing at Thursday and Friday, Club Superior. They perform at 6:05 Thursday, and 10:10 Friday
night.....then we find out who the winners are around midnight Friday after all the acts are done on Beale. Puerto
Rican Mike (Club Superior) tells us he has had 3 winners out of his club......We also found out there is another competition
that goes on here in Memphis, the bar owners host their own challenge. Each bar selects a fav act from the performers at their
venue then send them to compete for the King of Blues on Beale....could be fun!! Tallan and his band perform 1:30 at
Club 152 on Friday...... Until
tomorrow......GBA
Thursday - Did some sight seeing, Wise Fools played at 6:05 sharp....blew the place away...literally....The
club owner LOVED them..... Train, Human Thang, Louisianna, ended with Hey Joe....faces melted, mission accomplished
Friday - Afternoon 1:30 Tallan and the boys played at Club 152...the place was PACKED FULL while
they played, people filled every nook of the place, we don't think they could believe what they were seeing, the boys
played for 20 mins and had a blast.....left 'em with mouths haning open! All the guys had a great time!
Friday - Spent entire evening (5pm on) at Club Superior, good food, nice folks. Wise
Fools hit the stage at 10:00. Little different set, Train, Human Thing, No Kinda Love, Mother Earth........ended with
Voodoo....don't think they knew what hit them! Club owner WOWED.....
Evening - found
out the band did not makeit to the finals in the IBC - BUT, got a call at 2:00am....the Club owner chose the band to
represent them at the Beale Street Merchants competition at the New Daisy theater Saturday night! This is a HUGE honor.
This means the club owner prefered Wise Fools over all the other bands at the venue that night (10 0f them) SO....Saturday
at 5:30 we head to the New Daisy theater and rip the roof off! Beale street is stunned, we have not found one other
band here that sounds like Wise Fools. some GREAT talent down here for sure, it's amazing....you NEED to come down with
us next year...Memphis in May has NOTHING on the IBC weekend! Will update after Saturdays show!
